Simone Biles breaks silence on her 'near-death' health woes: 'It was the scariest experience'

Simone Biles recently got candid and opened up about her devastating health woes.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Saturday, June 6, the 29-year-old American artistic gymnast posted a photograph of her arm covered in patient wristbands, which appears to have been taken in a hospital.

Biles also wrote a note on the picture stating, “I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age.”

However, what made her share very personal details of her life was a near-death experience, as “almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week.”

Alluding to her husband Jonathan Owens, Biles added, “This was one of, if not if not the scariest experience of my life. Especially since Jonathan [Owens] was in Indy for practices.”

“I've been in bed resting this week, I'll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers [white heart emojis] Loooovveeee y'all,” the winner of 11 Olympic medals concluded.

For those unaware, Biles has been married to Owens, an American professional football safety for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League, since April 2023.

It is pertinent to mention that as far as Simone Biles’ professional career is concerned, she has won the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship 30 times across all events.
