Honda Activa EV Ride Modes, TFT Console Teased, 100+ Km Range
by Surendhar M · GaadiWaadi.comHonda Activa EV will offer Standard and Sport ride models while the TFT instrument console will be restricted to the top-end versions
The electric version of the Honda Activa has been teased once more but this time, the instrument console has been unveiled. The teaser indicates the presence of a TFT and an LCD console. Thus, the electrified scooter will be offered in multiple variants. The TFT will more likely be restricted to the range-topping variant while Standard and Sport ride modes will also be available.
The Sport mode should enable maximum performance. The teaser also shows the existence of a ride range of 104 km per charge (at 100 per cent) in the Standard mode and the Sport mode could have it slightly less. The cluster will also show trip reading, time of the day, overall range and beam indication amongst other features like music controls and navigation.
The low-level variants may do without the Sport mode. The Honda Activa EV will come in multiple variants including base drum and disc versions. Although specific performance figures are yet to be disclosed, it is expected to deliver power and torque comparable to 110-125 cc scooters. Earlier teasers have hinted at a drum brake setup and a rear monoshock suspension.

The Honda Activa EV will feature a single-piece seat and is set to compete with established rivals like the Ola S1 series, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather Rizta in the competitive zero-emission scooter market. A previous teaser highlighted an LED headlamp with the rear lighting likely to incorporate LED technology as well.
The Honda Activa EV distinguishes itself from the ICE Activa 6G by positioning its headlamp on the apron rather than the higher-mounted setup of its petrol-powered counterpart. The scooter is expected to feature a completely new design.
