New Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Art Book Now Arriving In 2027
It's no longer arriving next month
by Liam Doolan · Nintendo LifeEarlier this year, Dark Horse Comics announced it was teaming up with Nintendo once again to release The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Secrets of the Zonai art book.
While it was originally scheduled to launch next month on October 2026, in an update from Dark Horse, it's been announced it will now be arriving on 30th March 2027.
According to the Dark Horse website, it will ship to customers in April 2027. The standard edition is $59.99 / £46.17 and the Hero's Edition is $119.99 / £92.35.
Dark Horse Comics: "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—Secrets of the Zonai will launch March 30, 2027. Thank you for your patience as we prepare the highest standard of quality that you have come to expect and deserve."
This hardcover book includes 472 pages, and the Hero's Edition includes exclusives extras including a gree slipcase, exclusive cover, art print of Link and the Sages, cloth map of Hyrule depths and Zelda Tear replica.
Here's a bit more about what you can expect from this book when it does arrive:
Dark Horse Books honors Link, the Hero of Hyrule, with the Hero’s Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom—Secrets of the Zonai.
The slipcase features the lush green favored by ancient Zonai, and includes the Secrets of the Zonai art book with an exclusive cover, a map of the Depths printed on cloth, an art print of Link and the Sages, and a beautiful replica of the Secret Stone of Time.
Start your journey with Secrets of the Zonai. Pore over 50 pages of beautiful illustrations, character art, and promotional images. Then, dive into nearly 300 pages of behind-the-scenes sketches, notes, rough designs, concept art, and recollections that provide an exclusive look at the development and creation of the game. Next, travel back to a time before the founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule, with over 80 pages of Hyrule’s history that include insights into the mysterious past of the Zonai all the way up to the events of the game. Finish your quest with interviews with the legends behind this most recent entry of The Legend of Zelda: Producer Eiji Aonuma, Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, and Art Director Satoru Takizawa!

Okay, so, that's close to Final Fantasy VII Revelation... hmmm...
I wonder if this delay can be blamed on the AI chip shortage?

@Alpha008 I don't really get why Ai would impact it when the book is pretty much just needing paper. My guess is just that they're still working on translation work and it's taking longer than expected. Especially given that this is the Tears of the Kingdom version of Master Works.
