The collaborative single ‘Stronger Together’ drops March 20, 2026, shining a light on the diversity of mental health through the power of diverse music.

Christchurch - March 20, 2026 - Mental Health Matters (Various Otautahi Artists) proudly announces the release of their brand new single written for and dedicated to mental health, Stronger Together, available from March 20, 2026 on Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube.

Bringing together a collective of Otautahi-based musicians under the name Mental Health Matters, the genre-blending track is a heartfelt powerful anthem that is dedicated to anyone and everyone with an experience of mental health - highlighting that everyone has mental health and that everyone’s experience is different. ‘Stronger Together’ signifies the fact that while every story may be different, that no one walks alone and we truly are stronger together.

Inspired by the likes of ‘We Are the World’ by U.S.A. for Africa, dedicated to famine relief in Ethiopia, and even closer to home with Feel Inside (and Stuff Like That) by Flight of the Conchords, dedicated to Cure Kids, Stronger Together, by Mental Health Matters is the anthem dedicated to mental health everywhere.

Produced by Caleb McNicholl and Mental Health Matters founder Bradley Mutch, the waiata captures stories from various artists of vulnerability, resilience, and the strength that comes from whanaungatanga and community support.

“Loving one another is being there for each other, having all my music mates come and be stronger together on one song and each having their own part was very cool to see.” says producer Caleb McNicholl.

The project was based around a conversation of bringing mental health and music together to unite both people through those topics. By combining genres and voices, the collective aimed to showcase the complexity of mental health by acknowledging challenges and also promoting hope and the importance of connection.

The release aligns with World Happiness Day, adding a positive tone to the ongoing mental health conversations in Aotearoa. Through the power of music, the Mental Health Matters collective hopes to create a safe, supportive space for necessary dialogue, connection, and healing.

Stronger Together will be available on:

- Spotify

- Apple Music

- Music Video on Youtube, song on Youtube Music and all other platforms.

Listeners are encouraged to stream, share, and use the song as a starting point for meaningful and vital kōrero around mental health.
