Voices Of Hope Brings Mental Health And Hope Conversations To Rangatahi Across Te Tai Tokerau
by Voices of Hope · SCOOPVoices of Hope, a mental health charity co-founded by Jazz Thornton and Genvieve Mora is bringing its 2026 school tour to Te Tai Tokerau from 10–13 August, reaching rangatahi across Northland communities with important conversations around mental health, resilience, and hope.
During the tour, Voices of Hope will visit 10 schools across the region. Through these school talks, Voices of Hope shares honest lived experience stories to encourage help-seeking, reduce stigma, and remind young people that “it’s not weak to speak.”
The sessions are designed to create safe spaces where students feel seen, heard, and supported, while encouraging open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
At a time when many young people continue to face challenges in silence, Voices of Hope says the need for meaningful and relatable conversations in schools remains greater than ever.
This tour is made possible through the ongoing support of the Wright Family Foundation, founded by Chloe and Wayne Wright, whose support has enabled Voices of Hope to expand its school programme and connect with more young people throughout Aotearoa.
“The support of the Wright Family Foundation allows us to reach more young people with messages that truly matter,” says Genevieve Mora, General Manager & Co-founder of Voices of Hope.

“These talks are not about having all the answers. They are about creating spaces where rangatahi feel less alone, more understood, and more able to reach out for support if they need it.”
The Te Tai Tokerau tour is part of Voices of Hope’s wider 2026 school programme, which will see the organisation deliver talks across multiple regions, including Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty.
Previous student feedback has highlighted the impact these conversations can have:
“Hearing someone speak so honestly made me realise I’m not alone.”
“It gave me the confidence to try and talk to someone about what I’ve been going through.”
“It made asking for help feel less scary.”
Voices of Hope is proud to partner with schools across Te Tai Tokerau and continue supporting young people through the power of storytelling, connection, and hope.
