Travis Scott’s First Oakley Sunglasses Are Here

LOOKING AHEAD: As chief visionary officer of Oakley, Travis Scott has “curated and re-designed” three statement sunglasses in what’s dubbed the “first chapter” of the Cactus Jack X Oakley story.

The frames debut Thursday on TravisScott.com and then drop on Oakley.com on Friday.

The release centers on brown, the signature shade of the Cactus Jack fashion label Scott introduced in 2018, which gives “a new character to three of our most iconic frames, while preserving their unmistakable Oakley DNA,” Caio Amato, global president of Oakley & Sports Performance Hub at EssilorLuxottica, told WWD.

Scott reimagined the Plantaris, Straight Jacket 99, and Eye Jacket Redux frames with Prizm Snow Black lenses “for enhanced color and contrast,” according to Oakley.

A rapper, producer and entrepreneur, Scott kicked off a multiyear partnership with Oakley in 2025 “to push the boundaries of design, innovation and cultural relevance,” the American eyewear firm said at the time.

Last year, Oakley also recruited Matthew M. Williams as creative director of apparel, footwear and accessories, a new post that signaled Oakley’s ambitions to grow those categories.

Williams, who earned global fashion acclaim for his industrial-tinged 1019 Alyx 9SM brand and his three-year stint as creative director of Givenchy in Paris, has yet to unveil his first Oakley designs.
