Country superstar Luke Bryan has been an ambassador for Jockey for four years, and now the two are teaming up to open a store in Nashville.

Called Coopers 12South, the store will be located in the city’s trendy 12South neighborhood. The new retail concept is designed to blend Nashville’s heritage in music with the spirit of the outdoors.

The store, which is slated to open in late November, will feature activations, music, local artisan workshops, community events and exclusive apparel including the limited-edition Jockey Outdoors by Luke Bryan Collection, which debuted in 2022. It will also feature other apparel inspired by the Nashville music community as well as gifts.

Coopers 12South will be designed by Nashville-based interior designer Mark Simmons and his associate designer Alli Roberts of Mark Simmons Interiors. Simmons is also on the board of the Nashville Preservation Society.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Luke and bring an immersive, lifestyle-first store to the 12South community that creates a distinctive experience for our guests,” said Mark Fedyk, president and chief operating officer of Jockey. “The store’s offerings and atmosphere will be tailored to, and embody, the 12South neighborhood and its community. This will be a unique and one-of-a-kind store that ‘fits’ the neighborhood. Everything about Coopers 12South will be done in a thoughtful way that meshes with community and carries a local vibe.”

“I could not be more excited to partner with my friends at Jockey to open this store right here in Music City on 12South,” Bryan said. “Coopers 12South is going to be such a great experience for everyone who enters our door while also focusing on being a good neighbor to those up and down that street. What an honor to not only shine a light on the outdoors I love to sing about and live every day but also offer a place for many others to share their visions and passions.”

Jockey, which was founded in 1876 by Rev. Samuel T. Cooper, is a third-generation, family-owned company headquartered in Kenosha, Wis. In June of this year, the company opened a satellite office in Nashville.

“As we get settled into the 12South and Nashville communities, we are actively looking for ways to partner with our neighbors and integrate ourselves into the local community,” Fedyk said. “We are a company built on relationships and want to forge meaningful ones within the 12South and Nashville communities.”

Bryan recently landed his 31st number-one single with “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” from his album, “Mind of a Country Boy.” In his career, he has tallied 24 billion global streams, sold 11.5 million albums and won more than 50 music awards. He is also well known for his philanthropy and recently received the Lifting Lives Award from the Academy of Country Music. He and his sponsors have also awarded more than 80 scholarships and donated more than 9 million meals using the proceeds of his “Farm” tour, which recently completed its 15th year.

Jockey operates 72 stores across the country but Coopers 12South is a one-of-a-kind concept unique to Nashville’s 12South neighborhood, a spokesperson said.
