The romance novel continues for ArdAzAei, with the spring collection serving as the next chapter of the “Nightingale’s Rose” collection she presented during couture.
But where couture gave an elaborate collection of pleats and folds, creative director Bahareh Ardakani’s ready-to-wear brings the story closer to the body through dresses, fluid separates and delicate knitwear.
Pleating, draping, smocking and custom lace were translated across slinky jersey, silk chiffon, cotton and soft wools. The trained gemologist still loves geometry, and she played with it here through cords that gathered and sculpted the body, pleats, texture, plus ribbed rhombi and triangle shapes that created tactile movement.
The collection was centered on dresses this season, including romantic full-length gowns, cocktail numbers and lightweight cotton daytime styles designed to be layered, while Ardakani’s precision tailoring was still evident in a handful of core pieces, including a version of her signature suit in tan.

She also continued to explore new colors, moving away from the blacks and purples of her early collection into bright shades of reds, oranges and sunny yellows.
“I’m becoming bolder. I’m not as shy anymore. I’m being more daring, I’ve got some confidence and I can really go for it,” she said, of settling in to the line she launched just two-and-a-half years ago.
That growing confidence comes as she is expanding her retail presence. The brand held a successful pop-up in Monaco in mid-September, and is prepping to launch ready-to-wear and a dedicated capsule at Harrods in London in November.
This collection also marked a meaningful milestone for the brand, which has been built on sustainability, with 67 percent of its materials GOTS-certified, while the complete knitwear offering is fully certified.
