The lobby of the Met Breuer building was filled with more blazers than a prep school on Wednesday evening, thanks to workwear brand Argent. The company took over Marcel for a 10th anniversary dinner, celebrating “work friends” and the many women who have become loyalists of their clothes in the past decade.
The presence of Hillary Clinton kept a buzz going throughout the cocktail hour, drawing a small crowd around her wherever she went. Joining Clinton were Huma Abedin, Chloe Fineman, Barbara Bush, Isolde Brielmaier, Amrit Kaur and more.

And that was what I always wanted to do,” Christeson said. “And the fact that we’re able to do this at this scale with the women that we have here is a dream realized. To me, it’s less about the brand and more about these women forming new connections that go on to create magic.”
Looking out onto a sea of women in her clothes still remained “surreal,” even 10 years in.
“I don’t know that I’ll actually be able to answer that or process that until after,” she said. “It really feels like a wedding. I have so much gratitude for every woman in this group.”
