LONDON — And the winner of the Self-Portrait pageant competition is Emily Ratajkowski.
The American model, actor, author and activist is the star of the brand’s latest campaign, which was shot by Tina Barney against the background of a beauty pageant. She’s wearing a silver rhinestone fishnet maxi dress with a crown and holding a life-size gold trophy.
In one of the other tongue-in-cheek images, Ratajkowski is wearing a matching blue soft knit top and skirt with a sash identical to four other models.

“Working with Tina Barney, a photographer renowned for capturing intimate portraits of real- life splendor and tradition with sensitivity was a true privilege and I knew she would be the perfect woman to shoot Emily in all her crowning glory, as the ultimate Miss Self-Portrait,” said Han Chong, founder and creative director of the London-based brand.

This is Ratajkowski’s second campaign with Self-Portrait, last year she starred in their “At Home, with Self-Portrait” series.
A third campaign image by Barney sees the model wearing an off-the-shoulder brown sequin dress coming forward to speak to a microphone.
The American photographer’s campaign for Self-Portrait coincides with her exhibition “Family Ties” at the Jeu de Paume in Paris, which showcases more than 40 years of her work.
Chong said he chose the beauty pageant theme because he wanted to showcase a variety of emotions and looks.
“We evolve constantly, we have so many facets, we go through so many emotions on a daily basis. This sentiment has become the heartbeat of the brand – the idea that I can design for women to feel like themselves and be comfortable in their own skin,” he added.
