It’s been a busy week for Demi Lovato, who stopped by the inaugural Airbnb.org Gala in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Earlier in the day, Lovato announced a collaboration with longtime friend and fellow former Disney star Selena Gomez for Gomez’s Rare Beauty. Not all news concerning the 34-year-old singer was happy — she was hospitalized on Monday due to an allergic reaction but cleared everything up via Instagram on Tuesday, assuring fans and well-wishers she was doing just fine.

Lovato appeared in good spirits at the gala, walking the red carpet at the Milk Studios lot in a black plunging Schiaparelli suit with satin panels and gold embellishments.

Lovato’s glam was created by makeup artist Sandy Ganzer (a favorite of “Euphoria” star Hunter Schafer) to be dramatic and bold, with dark arched eyebrows and a smoky eye with gold eye shadow. Warm-toned blush appeared on her cheeks while a glossy peach pink lip completed the look.
Styled by longtime collaborator and hairstylist Alyx Liu, Lovato’s dark raven locks tumbled down her shoulders in a loose curl pattern, adding to the visual drama. WWD has reached out to Ganzer and Liu for comment.
The look was a stark 180 from Lovato’s promotional photoshoot for Rare Beauty, where the multihyphenate revisited her time starring in Disney Channel’s “Princess Protection Program” alongside Gomez. Titled “Still Making Each Other Blush,” the campaign featured the duo dressed in the colors of the original movie poster, promoting an exclusive Soft Pinch Blush Bundle. Available on the Rare Beauty website starting Oct. 28 for $50, the bundle contains two blushes — in Hope, a nude mauve shade, and in Virtue, a beige peach — along with a free Soft Pinch Blush Brush.
Other notable faces on the carpet included Charli XCX in similar dark and dramatic glam; Charlize Theron sporting a pink lip and blush; and Cynthia Erivo with long fluttering eyelashes and a cool-toned lip combination.
