Alanui Spring 2027: A New Journey

To mark the 10th anniversary of their brand, Alanui’s founders Carlotta and Nicolò Oddi decided to join the Milan Fashion Week schedule and open the doors of Casa Alanui, their new headquarters housed in Milan’s charming Villa Borletti.

The design setting — filled with wood and woven raffia elements, earthy hues and vintage furniture — amped up the appeal of the brand’s spring 2027 collection, showcasing Alanui’s luxury knitwear and complementary ready-to-wear separates, accessories, home pieces and collaborations and made the company’s full world come alive.

Since the launch of the brand, creative director Carlotta Oddi has embodied a modern Scheherazade in narrating different stories to shape her (professional) destiny — only Oddi wove them in a jacquard belted cardigan that’s become Alanui’s hallmark.

Through this design and the many iterations that followed — spanning from the cardi-bomber to knitted coats — Oddi has expressed the free-spirited, escapist nature of the brand, each season inspired by a different destination.

This time she looked to the evocative universe of “One Thousand and One Nights” to imagine a journey moving from untamed jungles to faraway oceans. The rich intarsias, embroideries and appliqués of her new collection featured tropical landscapes, exotic animals, lush vegetation and star-filled skies, and alternated with Alanui’s distinctive iconography, including the bandana motif and foulard-inspired graphics.

Oddi’s constant research in yarns and textiles also gave way to experimentation with lighter solutions, with cotton and linen yarns merging with wool to create raw, tactile textures and paper- and raffia-effect yarns deployed in lightweight frocks.

In a decorative leap, the designer worked fluid dresses, cropped knits and summer separates with open stitches, beads, sequins, shells and hand-finished details, extending this approach to accessories encompassing straw and crochet bags, beaded mules, crochet flip-flops and multicolored hats.

No one was exempt from Oddi’s crafty touch: a new collaboration with Poldo Dog Couture resulted in fringed dog sweaters and matching bandanas in red and caramel tones.
