Cara Delevingne and denim made with Saxcell take center stage in Armedangels’ new campaign called “Never the Expected.”

The campaign showcases the German brand’s Detox Denim collection, a men’s and women’s denim range that has challenged every stage of denim production, from materials and manufacturing to washes and finishes, since 2018. Detox Denim eliminates synthetic pesticides and harsh chemicals and prioritizes materials and designs engineered for longevity.

In the campaign, Armedangels aims to show “how much is possible when you question convention and consistently think differently.” Delevingne highlights the collection’s use of organic cotton and recycled fibers and how the garments are designed for resale and recycling in the campaign video. The musician and actress wears the brand’s Baarly high-waisted barrel jean, jean jacket with a cord collar, oversized denim vest and more.

“Armedangels does things in a way most brands simply don’t. And that matters, because you actually know what you’re wearing and how it was made,” Delevingne said in a statement.

The Fall 2026 collection includes two notable fabrications. A women’s structured denim jacket and s men’s denim jacket are constructed from fabric containing 57 percent cotton and 43 percent Saxcell, a next-gen lyocell fiber made from 30 percent recycled cotton textile waste and 70 percent FSC-certified wood pulp. Armedangels was the first brand to bring Saxcell to the market in Spring 2025, and it has continued to scale production.

The collection also uses organic cotton selvedge denim. The brand replaced the classic red selvedge line with a yellow one to align with its corporate identity.

Other style highlights in the collection include women’s wide-leg styles Enijaa and Astraeaas, and the straight Aikaala. For men, the brand offers the relaxed tapered fit Maakxy, the Jaameo, the baggy denim pant, and a new classic straight fit called Maadox.

Armedangels was founded in 2007 by Martin Höfeler and Anton Jurina with a mission to focus on ethical, sustainable fashion through fair working conditions, innovative materials and transparent supply chains. In April, the brand launched e-commerce in the United States.
