Jonathan Simkhai turned his focus inward for the season, eschewing a singular narrative in favor of material exploration. The designer spent much of the development process experimenting with fabrics and techniques, resulting in standout pieces that felt unique yet commercially minded, from intricately fringed dresses and a striking leather blazer covered in layered strips to hand-applied organza gowns and rope-like knit dresses developed through new fabrication methods. Rich suede also emerged as a key story, appearing in outerwear and matching sets for men, while relaxed tailoring continued to sharpen his cool-guy proposition for men.

“It wasn’t really that much about a found object narrative this season as much as it was about fabric exploration and technique,” Simkhai said of his emphasis on craftsmanship and texture. All together it added a shot of newness to familiar silhouettes as the designer prepares to open his first Florida boutique in Bal Harbour, a key market for the brand.
