Giovanni Di Stefano claims Dundee return talks ARE happening as madcap lawyer drops cryptic clue

Di Stefano was invited on to the dens Park board back in 2003 at the height of their spending

Madcap lawyer Giovanni Di Stefano claims he is in talks over a return to Dundee.

Di Stefano, the former pal of Saddam Hussein who also represented warlords and terrorists such as Arkan, Osama Bin Laden, Slobodan Milosevic and Robert Mugabe, says he has held talks with Dark Blues owner Tim Keyes over a possible return to Dens Park. He initially joined the Dundee board in 2003, when the club were at the height of their spending on foreign stars such as Fabrizio Ravanelli and Claudio Caniggia under joint bosses the Bonetti brothers.

That eventually lead to administration as the club was at real risk of going out of business. But now they are established back in the top flight under Tony Docherty, finishing in the Premiership's top six last season. And it seems Di Stefano wants to rejoin the party, claiming in a video message that there is more to come after talks with American chief Keyes.

He said in a video message: "This is Giovanni de Stefano and it is now the 9th October 20124. "Just a very quick update on Dundee FC, I have been in contact with Tim Keyes and there will be other developments on this matter, hopefully sooner rather than later."

It's unknown what role Di Stefano reckons he's in line for. And it's highly unlikely fans would welcome the prospect of the controversial law man becoming involved again in any way
