An award winning yoghurt producer welcomed a special visitor on Thursday.

The team at Rowan Glen near Palnure was delighted to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to the site.

And it wasn’t the first time Princess Anne had visited the business, having been there to open the factory back in 1997.

Nearly 50 members of staff at Rowan Glen lost their jobs when Dale Farm Ltd shut the plant in the autumn
of 2022.

However, it was brought back to life as Rowan Glen Ltd thanks to support and funding from South of Scotland
Enterprise.

During her visit, The Princess Royal unveiled a new plaque marking the official opening of the factory under Rowan Glen Ltd.
