Whispers of a Strictly Come Dancing romance have become an "open secret" among the cast and crew, with reports suggesting Pete Wicks has "fallen head over heels" for his dance partner Jowita Przystal. The TOWIE star, aged 36, and 30 year old professional dancer Jowita have quickly become favourites since the series kicked off last month.

In their latest performance, the dynamic duo scored 26 points for their samba to the George of the Jungle theme. Pete shared his thoughts on the routine: "I absolutely hate the film, but I absolutely love the samba. George loves the samba."

However, it's off the dance floor where things are heating up, as Pete and Jowita are reportedly very close, acting like a "loved-up couple would be" according to insiders

A source speaking to The Mail on Sunday revealed: "Pete has fallen head over heels for Jowita. He thinks she is amazing in every way. The feeling is mutual from her side and things have definitely progressed between them. They are all over one another behind the scenes, in a way that a loved-up couple would be."

The source continued: "It appears that we may have the first Strictly romance of the series, which is so exciting. They are the talk of the show. The other contestants are really happy for them. They are always smiling. It's lovely. It will certainly brighten up the show following the dreadful saga around Giovanni (Pernice) and Amanda Abbington", reports the Mirror.

Pete and Jowita reportedly hit it off "immediately" after being paired together over the summer. They were spotted getting cosy at the National Television Awards last month, fuelling romance rumours.

Sam Thompson, a close friend of Pete's, added to the speculation by declaring: "Pete's in love."

The pair recently appeared on Loose Women, where they revealed plans to get matching tattoos if they win the Glitterball Trophy. Janet Street-Porter, a panellist on the show, asked: "Is it true that you two are going to get matching tattoos if you win? " To which Pete responded: "Obviously, I have got a fair few tattoos so if we win then we are going to get a couple of glitterballs."

When asked where he would place the tattoo, Pete remained coy. In a recent interview with the BBC, the duo shared their ideal movie date scenario. Pete described a rainy night in a log cabin with a fire, a couple of bottles of Malbec and a cheese board.

Jowita agreed, adding her preference for a snowy night and a big bowl of salted popcorn. Pete cheekily suggested: "It may be a glitter ball."

Pete has been linked to a number of high-profile women, including Love Island's Maura Higgins and EastEnders star Danielle Harold. Jowita, on the other hand, was previously in a long-term relationship with her dance partner Michael Danilczuk, and following their split, she was rumoured to be dating Giovanni Pernice, 34, and dancer Arduino Bertoncello.
