Coleen Rooney 'almost passed out' after 'traumatic' phone call with Rebekah Vardy

Rebekah Vardy has given her first TV interview since the ruling that she must pick up the majority of Coleen Rooney's £1.8m legal bill following the WAG's explosive tweet.

When Coleen Rooney accused a fellow WAG of leaking stories about her personal life to the press, fans were left in utter shock.

In a twist that felt straight out of a mystery novel, Rebekah Vardy, 42, expressed her astonishment upon discovering her name was at the heart of Coleen's viral tweet. Vardy, nearly fainting from the revelation, was caught up in the drama now known as the 'Wagatha Christie' saga.

This week, the courts decreed that Rebekah won't see a reduction in the hefty legal bill assigned to her, after being ordered to cover the lion's share of Coleen's significant £1.8m costs from their legal dispute. Despite Rebekah's continuous assertions of innocence, the well-publicised High Court clash ended with a verdict favouring Coleen Rooney in 2022, following a defamation lawsuit.

Coleen had taken to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook back in 2019, revealing to followers her plan to unearth the source of the leaks. She divulged: "I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It's... Rebekah Vardy's account."

Rebekah Vardy, defiant after the unfavourable outcome of her trial, spoke candidly in an interview with TalkTV, recounting how she learned about the accusations while enjoying her second day of a Dubai vacation, reports the Mirror.

"Kind of reading it, I had this most overwhelming dizziness, fuzziness, disbelief at what I was reading," Rebekah recalled during a conversation with Kate McCann. She also shared that she couldn't remember what happened moments after, but she nearly 'passed out' in a taxi on their way to a beach bar.

"We were in a taxi, we got to this beach bar and walked in. I don't know," Rebekah said. "It was so traumatic, I can't really remember exactly what happened then. But all I remember is Jamie getting me out of there pretty quick because I thought I was just gonna pass out."

Furthermore, she described experiencing the "biggest adrenaline rush I think I've ever experienced". Coleen Rooney reportedly left her a message trying to call her–an attempt Rebekah confirmed, stating that when she tried to return the call, she received no answer.

Eventually, they connected, and their conversation 'wasn't very nice at all'.

During the interview, Rebekah revealed several bombshells and opened up about the harrowing abuse that came her way, with trolls sending death threats to her husband, Jamie, amidst the sensational legal ordeal referred to as Wagatha Christie. Mrs Justice Steyn, the presiding judge, found Rebekah to have "clearly" condoned and engaged in leaking stories to the media via her agent, Caroline Watt.

The judge pointed to some of Rebekah's evidence as "not credible", while highlighting Coleen as an "honest and reliable witness". Following the judgment, Rebekah issued a statement expressing her dismay at the outcome.

"I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the Judge has reached. It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the Judge's finding," the statement read. "The judge accepted that publication of Coleen's Post was not in the 'public interest' and she also rejected her claim that I was the 'Secret Wag'. But as for the rest of her judgement, she got it wrong and this is something I cannot accept."

She continued: "As I explained in my evidence I, my family and even my unborn baby, were subjected to disgusting messages and vile abuse following Coleen's Post and these have continued even during the course of the trial. Please can the people who have been abusing me and my family now stop. The case is over. I want to thank everyone who has supported me."
