Rival football fans clashed outside a Glasgow pub yesterday as violence and disorder broke out.

Ugly scenes were spotted on Maryhill Road before the Scottish Championship meeting between Partick Thistle and Hamilton Accies at Firhill. Online footage has emerged showing groups of supporters clashing outside the Munn's Vaults pub.

A video taken from an adjacent building shows chaotic scenes unfold. A group of fans can be seen being chased by what is believed to be Accies supporters. The Thistle fans barricade themselves at the entrance to the bar, while objects can be seen being thrown during the incident.

The majority of the Accies fans appear to leave the scene shouting and chanting, while a few supporters stay at the pub entrance which starts to bring its shutters down.

In another clip taken right outside the pub a group of fans are shouting and goading Thistle fans who are wearing red, yellow and black balaclava style masks. Cops said they rushed to the scene but when they arrived fans had already fled the scene.

Officers say they are working to identity those involved as they launched a probe into the 'disturbance'.
