Co-created by Sicario writer Taylor Sheridan and Sons of Anarchy executive producer John Linson, Yellowstone has some impressive pedigree behind the camera.
The show follows the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch .
Prequel series 1883 and 1923 have already graced the small screen and a sequel series, The Madison , is on the way with two further spin-offs, 6666 and 1944 , currently in development.

Kevin Costner stars as the patriarch John , a firm, methodical person with a soft spot for his family and a fierce protectiveness of the land.
Headstrong daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly) is a great character to watch; she’s a problem solver, but also trouble with a capital T.
The only person who can attempt to tame her is love interest and tough cowboy-with-a-heart-of-gold Rip (Cole Hauser).
Wes Bentley plays Jamie Dutton who clashes with his father across the seasons for a multitude of reasons.
Luke Grimes stars as youngest son Kayce who puts his family, wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille) and son Tate (Brecken Merrill), and his moral compass first. With a troubled past and a lot of heartbreak, he manages to portray a multi-layered character you want to root for.
This is the same with so many of the ensemble and wonderfully talented actors who depict them, as it is not only the Duttons who shine on screen and are important to the running of the ranch.
The reason I started watching the show was the pink-haired, thick Texan-accented Teeter (Jen Landon). I saw clips on YouTube of her story arc and it made bingeing the seasons highly appealing.
Teeter and Colby , once they pass the will-they-won’t-they stage, bring sweetness, joy and humour, but they need more screen time - as do all of the bunkhouse members.
The ranch hands love Yellowstone as much as the family.
There are similarities to Sons of Anarchy in a lot of the show’s themes and plot points, and both programmes straddle the line between close bonds and the darkness and violence of people’s chosen paths.
