Filmed in the sleepy enclave of Fairhaven, MA, The American Scream follows the creative minds behind three local homemade haunts.

From Best Worst Movie director Michael Stephenson, the riveting documentary is now streaming on SCREAMBOX and follows three Halloween-obsessed households as they transform their homes into neighbor-terrifying supernatural wonderland!

Endless styrofoam tombstones and backyard beasts come courtesy of a few supremely dedicated local “home haunters” who’ve devoted their lives to the art of handmade monster-making.

“…there’s a profound sense of joy in watching these hard-working individuals get the much-deserved spotlight they long for,” I had previously written of the film. “Many want to be remembered, and [this doc] has landed them an eternal place in horror lore.”
