Paris des Arts: Special edition in Fez, Morocco
· France 24Singer Nabyla Maan shares her passion for traditional Moroccan music and its Arab-Andalusian rhythms. "This music flows through my veins; it's in my DNA. Something happens deep inside me when I perform this music – it's mystical," she says.
We also meet pianist Rami Khalifé, a member of the trio L'Antidote. "For me, music is a political act; it's an act of resistance," he tells us. "Being able to go on stage and be myself is a way to escape from a life that can feel burdensome."
