JAKARTA, Dec 18 : Japan's Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama and Indonesian central bank governor Perry Warjiyo signed a memorandum of cooperation to encourage the use of local currencies in all bilateral transactions, Bank Indonesia said on Thursday.
The deal, effective from December 15, renewed and expanded the coverage of an earlier framework agreement signed between the two authorities in late 2019, BI said in a statement.
