BARCELONA, July 5 : Isaac del Toro overcame a mechanical issue and a prolonged wait to change his bike to launch a late attack and win the second stage of the Tour de France on Sunday, becoming the second Mexican rider to win a stage at the race after Raul Alcala.

Defending champion Tadej Pogacar finished second as he cut Jonas Vingegaard's overall lead to six seconds.
