WASHINGTON, March 20 : The FBI has identified cyber actors associated with Russian intelligence services targeting users of commercial messaging applications, including Signal, FBI Director Kash Patel said in a post on X on Friday.

Signal and the Russian embassy in Washington did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
