The agency clarified that these reports are false and emphasized that the musician remains under active investigation in connection to a search operation executed at his Duport Road residence Friday. The LDEA said the misinformation circulating online is misleading and does not reflect the procedures currently underway.

According to the agency, officers acting on a court sanctioned search and seizure warrant entered the artist’s home at about seven in the morning as part of Clean Wave, the ongoing nationwide operation targeting drug trafficking and related offenses. During the search, LDEA officers seized 31.6 grams of marijuana and detained the musician along with other individuals found on the premises.

The agency explained that the detainees remain under questioning and that Liberia’s drug laws classify all drug related offenses as non bailable, making release at this stage impossible. The LDEA urged the public not to be swayed by social media rumors, stressing that no official communication confirming the singer’s release has been issued.

The case has drawn heightened public attention after a video circulated online showing agents entering the musician’s residence while he was livestreaming. The video triggered widespread discussion and fueled a wave of unverified claims regarding the intent of the search, the quantity of substances discovered, and the legal standing of those detained.

In the midst of these claims, Bucky Raw published a statement directly addressing his supporters and the public. In his message, the musician said the narratives linking him to drug distribution were untrue and intentionally damaging. He noted that individuals seeking to undermine him and disrupt his upcoming event planned for Friday, December 12 at 8pm in Monrovia seized the opportunity to circulate falsehoods and manipulate the situation for personal purposes.

Bucky Raw described Liberia’s drug problem as a national crisis and said he has used his platform to support efforts aimed at discouraging substance abuse. He expressed frustration that despite his work to distance himself from past controversies, some people continue to judge him based on outdated perceptions.

In his message, he insisted that he has no involvement in illegal drug activity and urged the media to avoid amplifying unverified stories. He thanked his supporters for standing with him and assured them that he remains focused despite the challenges posed by the ongoing investigation.
