Honor is officially setting the stage for its next major flagship release. The tech giant has confirmed that the highly anticipated Magic 9 series will debut in China on September 28. With pre-reservations now open, Honor has lifted the embargo on several key hardware details, revealing a smartphone lineup heavily engineered to challenge the boundaries of mobile photography.

A Cinematic Leap: Dual 200MP ARRI Imaging

At the heart of the Magic 9 series is a formidable new partnership with legendary cinema camera manufacturer ARRI. Honor has confirmed the devices will feature a dual 200-megapixel ARRI imaging system engineered to deliver uncompromised clarity in both broad daylight and challenging low-light environments.

The primary 200-megapixel ARRI camera boasts a massive 1/1.28-inch sensor paired with a fast f/1.57 aperture, allowing for exceptional light intake and natural depth of field. It is accompanied by a 200-megapixel ARRI “super-night” telephoto lens featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/2.6 aperture.
