NSS SMVDU volunteers shine at Adventure Camp in Dharamshala

Katra: NSS volunteers from SMVDU, Katra, participated in the 10-day National Adventure Camp held at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Harish Patel and Sakshi represented the university at this prestigious event, which was organized by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Dharamshala, and funded by the Regional Directorate of NSS New Delhi.

The camp focused on developing essential mountaineering skills, such as mountain manners, hazard management, rock climbing, rappelling, and river crossing. Alongside physical activities, the camp also aimed to build social awareness and leadership qualities in the participants.

The success of the camp was attributed to the expertise of ABVIMAS and the dedication and enthusiasm of the NSS volunteers. Their teamwork and camaraderie stood out, marking the camp as a significant achievement. NSS coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar and co-coordinator Dr. Kamaldeep congratulated the volunteers on their successful participation. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar also lauded the efforts of the volunteers, commending them for bringing honor and recognition to the university.
