First Look at REACHER Spinoff NEAGLEY and the Premiere Date Is Set
by Joey Paur · GeekTyrantPrime Video is getting ready to expand the world of Reacher in a big way, and now we finally know when fans will get to jump into its first spinoff.
Neagley, starring Maria Sten as the fan-favorite investigator Frances Neagley, officially premieres on Wednesday, September 16, with all episodes dropping at once.
Along with the release date announcement, Prime Video also shared the first batch of photos from the series, giving fans an early look at Neagley's next mission as she steps out from Jack Reacher's shadow and into the spotlight.
The series follows Frances Neagley after she's built a life for herself as a private investigator in Chicago. A former member of the Army's 110th Special Investigations Unit and one of Jack Reacher's closest allies, Neagley is pulled into a dangerous case after learning that a close friend from her past has died in what appears to be a suspicious accident.
Determined to uncover the truth, she draws on everything she learned alongside Reacher and during her military service. As the investigation deepens, Neagley finds herself facing a dangerous conspiracy and a powerful enemy that won't make bringing justice easy.
Joining Sten is an ensemble cast that includes Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole. Fans will also be happy to know that Alan Ritchson returns as Jack Reacher in a guest-starring role.
The series was created for television by Nick Santora, the executive producer and showrunner who developed Reacher for television from Lee Child's bestselling novels, alongside Nicholas Wootton, who previously collaborated with Santora on Prison Break.
Santora and Wootton also serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs, and Lisa Kussner round out the executive producing team.
Neagley is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, with Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid, and Niko Fernandez overseeing the project for Paramount Television Studios.
Fans won't have to wait long to get another dose of the Reacher universe, either. Reacher Season 4 premieres on Wednesday, August 12, kicking off with its first three episodes before shifting to a weekly release schedule that runs through September 16, perfectly handing things off to Neagley.
If Reacher has shown us anything over the past few seasons, it's that Frances Neagley is more than capable of carrying her own story. It'll be fun to see what happens when one of the franchise's most capable and resourceful characters takes center stage.
