Nick Nolte and Milo Gibson Face a Bloody Full Moon Curse in Horror Film VESTED

Nick Nolte and Milo Gibson are heading into some nasty family territory in the upcoming indie horror film Vested, and we’ve got our first look at the project.

Nolte, best known to many movie fans for 48 Hrs., stars alongside Gibson, who appeared in Hacksaw Ridge. The film recently wrapped production in British Columbia, Canada, with a story built around a remote mountain town, a seriously damaged family, and a curse that comes alive under the full moon.

Here’s the official synopsis: “Set in a remote, decaying mountain town, Vested follows a fractured family bound by an inherited legacy of violence and secrecy.

“When a series of brutal deaths expose a hidden bloodline curse tied to the full moon, two estranged brothers are forced to confront their past—and their father—before the violence consumes them all.”

That sounds like a fun mix of family horror, buried secrets, grisly deaths, and supernatural mayhem. Putting Nolte at the center of a family carrying generations of violence is a great piece of casting.

The film was written by The Michaels, Michael Mitton and Michael Bafaro, with Jay Stamatis and Edmond Giovanni Coisson serving as co-writers. Bafaro also directed the movie.

Nolte recently appeared in Casey Affleck’s Venice Film Festival Competition drama Company. Gibson, the son of Mel Gibson, recently starred opposite Tom Berenger in the action film The Sheriff.

The newly revealed first-look image gives audiences their first peek at what Bafaro and his team have cooked up.

No release date has been announced yet for Vested.
