Step Inside Japan’s Godzilla Museum Packed With Kaiju Movie History

by · GeekTyrant

If you’re a Godzilla fan planning a trip to Japan, this place belongs on the itinerary. Attractions Atlas takes us inside the permanent Godzilla Museum at Nijigen no Mori on Awaji Island, where fans can get up close with movie memorabilia, detailed models, dioramas, and plenty of other tributes celebrating the King of the Monsters.

The museum is part of Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji, an attraction that goes much bigger than display cases, thanks to a nearly 400-foot-long Godzilla sculpture waiting outside.

Visitors can even strap into a zipline and fly directly into the monster’s massive mouth, which sounds like one hell of a way to experience Godzilla without watching Tokyo get flattened.
