Mahershala Ali Faces Faith, Family, and Violence in the First Teaser for YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER

Amazon MGM Studios and Orion Pictures have released the first teaser trailer for Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, giving audiences an intriguing first look at Mahershala Ali in what looks to be one of the most intense performances of his career.

The film comes from writer and director Bassam Tariq, whose previous work includes Mogul Mowgli and the series Bait. Judging by this first teaser, he's crafted a gripping character-driven thriller that blends crime, faith, and family into something that feels emotionally charged and deeply personal.

Ali stars as Latif, a deeply religious hitman who finds himself caught between the violent life he's built, his devotion to his faith, and his responsibilities as a father.

Everything changes after the death of his wife, forcing him onto a desperate journey across Houston, Texas, as he fights to keep his children safe while dangerous enemies close in around him.

As if the external threats weren't enough, Latif is also battling an internal crisis. The choices he's forced to make begin to shake the very beliefs that have defined his life, leaving him questioning who he is while trying to survive long enough to protect the people he loves.

Speaking about the role during CinemaCon earlier this year, Ali described Latif as "the most honest and complicated character I've read in a script," adding that this is "exactly the kind of movie I've been wanting to make."

The teaser doesn't reveal too much, but it does an excellent job establishing the film's mood. It's stylish, tense, and emotionally charged, offering glimpses of Latif's dangerous journey while hinting at the personal and spiritual conflict that sits at the heart of the story.
