New Rumor Claims More Than One Mutant May Appear in Marvel's SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY
by Jessica Fisher · GeekTyrantThis year’s slate of Marvel movies have been more shrouded in mystery than we’ve seen from the studio in a while, and because we have only seen trickles of casting info and finally a trailer for the first of the films this year, Spider-Man: No Way Home, we have had a ton of rumors to sift through for each of the films.
One rumor revolves around a report from The Geeky Cast, which claims that "more than one mutant" will appear in the movie.
It has been heavily speculated that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is playing Jean Grey, the powerful mutant known for possessing psionic powers. Initially capable of using only telekinesis, the comic book character later developed the power of telepathy.
Even, though we’ve seen footage, the studio has been tight-lipped about whether this casting is true, but if this new rumor proves correct, Jean Grey won’t be the only X-Man in the cast.
Several online scoopers have dropped hints about Scott Summers aka Cyclops possibly showing up in Brand New Day, and last year, there was a rumor that Harris Dickinson was being eyed for the role.
If Cyclops, or any other Mutant for that matter, does end up in the film, it will probably be a very small role, as the movie already has a packed cast list, and is a pivotal link between the major events in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the upcoming event films Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
