Actor Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Barbie) has joined the cast of the sci-fi survival thriller Homewrecker, from director Xavier Gens (Gangs of London, Lupin).

Liu will star opposite Allison Williams (Girls, Get Out) and Michelle Randolph (Landman, Scream 7), as well as French actress Anaïs Parello, who recently teamed with Gens on Netflix shark hit Under Paris.

The synopsis for the original screenplay by Elisa Bell (Vegas Vacation) and Travis Gordon reads: “During a heart-breaking domestic revelation, three star-crossed Americans are suddenly forced to work together to survive a terrifying unexplained global event that threatens to destroy life as they know it.”

Filming is confirmed to get underway in Paris, France, on July 15th, following the Bastille Day national holiday.

Liu recently made his Broadway debut in Oh, Mary! and starred in and executive-produced Peacock’s thriller The Copenhagen Test. He will next be seen in Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, opening in December.
