Marvel Studios Drops First AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Poster and Fans Are Already Overanalyzing It
by Joey Paur · GeekTyrantMarvel Studios has officially kicked off the next phase of hype with the release of the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, and it didn’t take long for the studio to follow that up with a poster reveal.
While the trailer itself leaned heavily into Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers. That teaser is just one piece of a larger rollout. A second preview centered on Thor has already landed, and a third is expected to spotlight Doctor Doom.
There’s even talk that the next tease could involve the X-Men. Whether Marvel keeps this pattern going with a fourth sneak peek is anyone’s guess. Either way, don’t expect a full traditional trailer until the Super Bowl rolls around next February.
Until then, the newly revealed Avengers: Doomsday poster is giving fans plenty to dissect. Much like the early posters for The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, this one keeps things simple with the iconic team logo front and center.
Simple doesn’t mean empty though, and the background has quickly become the main talking point.
The window-like structure behind the logo has sparked a wave of speculation online. Some fans are convinced it’s a window inside Castle Doom, while others think it could be tied directly to the throne of Latveria’s ruler. What’s hard to ignore is the color palette. That glowing green is very Doctor Doom.
Take a look at the Avengers: Doomsday poster and let us know what you think that green-lit background is really pointing toward.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.
