PEACEMAKER Actress Jennifer Holland Says MAN OF TOMORROW May Be James Gunn's Best Movie Yet

James Gunn has already proven himself as a comic book movie master. He began with the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, which Marvel fans loved, then when he took over as co-head of DC Studios, he brought us last summer’s blockbuster Superman, and we were stoked for what the filmmaker had in store.

While Gunn is overseeing tons of projects on the production side of things, the next movie Gunn is writing and directing is his Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow, and according to one DC actress, it may be his best film yet.

On the red carpet for a Supergirl screening, Peacemaker actress Jennifer Holland told GamesRadar:

"I can tell you that I have seen an enormous, enormous portion of the movie, and I am so excited for Man of Tomorrow. It is different...I don't wanna say this. Ugh.

“It might be James's best… my favorite movie of James, and I haven't even seen the whole thing yet. I'm just... I love the movie.

“I'm really excited about it. It feels like a step up to me in a lot of ways. I'm excited for people to see it, and he's not done filming it yet."

Holland also added that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might be her favorite Gunn movie, so if this film stands to upset the reigning top choice, that sets the bar pretty high.

Written and directed by Gunn, the film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.

Recent additions to the cast include Andre Royo, Matthew Lillard, Sinqua Walls, and Adria Arjona.

Man of Tomorrow flies into theaters on July 9, 2027.
