Final TOY STORY 5 Trailer Arrives as Tickets Go on Sale and Pixar Reveals New Cast Additions
by Joey Paur · GeekTyrantDisney and Pixar have dropped the final trailer for Toy Story 5, and with tickets officially on sale, the studio is giving fans one more look at Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang before they return to theaters this summer.
The new footage leans hard into the movie’s central conflict, which pits classic toys against modern tech. This time around, Bonnie’s attention is being pulled toward a smart tablet named Lilypad, and the trailer makes it clear that the toys are dealing with a challenge they’ve never faced before.
Watching Woody and Buzz try to figure out how they fit into a kid’s world filled with screens actually looks pretty entertaining.
I really do love this franchise. But I also feel like it’s time Pixar moved on from it. Maybe this movie will be so good it will change my mind how I feel, but the first three films in the franchise are perfection, though.
Disney also announced a couple of new cast additions for the film. Joining the voice cast is Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio. The multi-platinum recording artist and six-time GRAMMY Award winner has a voice cameo in the movie as a new character called Pizza with Sunglasses.
The character is described as effortlessly cool and mysterious, and apparently lives among a forgotten group of toys hidden away in an abandoned backyard shed. Honestly, that sounds exactly like the kind of weird Toy Story character Pixar would come up with.
The film also adds Alan Cumming to the lineup. The Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor will voice Evil Bullseye, which is apparently Bullseye’s playtime alter ego.
While Bullseye still doesn’t actually speak within the normal world of Toy Story, Cumming’s role comes during a comedic playtime sequence that sounds like it could end up being one of the movie’s funniest moments.
The official synopsis reads: “The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang's jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?”
Toy Story 5 is directed by Andrew Stanton, with Kenna Harris serving as co-director. The film was written by Stanton and Harris from a story by Stanton, and legendary composer Randy Newman returns once again to handle the score for his fifth Toy Story movie.
The film is rated PG and will be released exclusively in theaters on June 19, 2026.
