New SUPERGIRL TV Spot Cranks Up the Action and Kara Looks Ready to Throw Down

by · GeekTyrant

A new TV spot for Supergirl has landed online just as rumors swirl that tickets for the DCU movie could go on sale tomorrow, and Warner Bros. is clearly leaning hard into the movie’s larger-than-life action.

The latest footage throws in a little more Superman, a lot more chaos, and several great shots of Kara soaring into battle.

I like how fun the action feels. The fight choreography looks like it could end up being one of the movie’s biggest strengths. While some fans have pointed out that the movie’s environments appear a little muted and lacking color, the combat sequences themselves look aggressive, and packed with playful energy.

Milly Alcocklooks fantastic as Kara Zor-El, carrying the same fierce attitude fans loved from the Woman of Tomorrow comic storyline. The footage also gives off the sense that this version of Supergirl has been through some rough experiences long before the story even begins.

The movie is directed by Craig Gillespie, best known for Cruella, and even though this marks his first massive superhero action film, the footage suggests he’s handling the scale pretty well. There’s a gritty edge to the action that helps separate Supergirl from what audiences saw in Superman.

The official synopsis reads: “When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”

Alongside Alcock, the film stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa. The screenplay comes from Ana Nogueira.

Supergirl flies into theaters on June 26, 2026, and if these TV spots are any indication, DC Studios may have another crowd-pleasing cosmic adventure on its hands.
