Brett Ratner Is Directing a Documentary About Melania Trump For Amazon Studios

by · GeekTyrant

It’s been a very long time since Brett Ratner has been in the news or has made any kind of film. That because several years about he was accused by several women, including Olivia Munn, of inappropriate sexual behavior.

It was bad enough, that Warner Bros., which is where Ratner’s production company was set up cut ties with him.

Well, Amazon Studios is now getting into business with Ratner and he will direct a documentary film for them about Melanie Trump, the former and incoming first lady.

A studio spokesperson for Amazon calls the film “an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look at the first lady and third wife of Donald Trump.”

The film will get both a theatrical and streaming release and filming began in December 2024, one month after former President Donald Trump won the presidential election.

I honestly never thought I’d see Ratner work again after all the allegations that were made against him. He was also never really that good of a director.

The report says, friends of Ratner says he “saw a pathway back by directing a documentary, which requires little capital and no distributor until much later in the process.”

Melania Trump will executive produce the film alongside New Element Media’s Fernando Sulichin. Amazon is planning a release the film in the second half of 2025.

Hollywood continues to be a very strange place.
