Disney Tapping Into Classic Christmas Movie With Full-Length Holiday Special MICKEY'S HOME ALONE

Disney has announced the name and details of their animated 2026 Christmas special, which will take inspiration from the 1990s live-action hit Home Alone,starring Macaulay Culkin.

Titled Mickey’s Home Alone, the full-length special will see Mickey looking forward to spending Christmas at home. His plans take a turn when Minnie surprises him and the gang with tickets to spend Christmas at a world-famous Ice Palace.

In the morning rush to make it out the door, Mickey and Pluto are left behind and home alone. They find themselves protecting their home from two feisty villains, a raccoon and a weasel who are after their Christmas dinner, while Minnie and the gang desperately try to make their way back home.

The special will feature original songs ‘Ho-Ho-Home for Christmas’ and ‘Favorite Christmas Feeling’ by songwriter Keith Harrison Dworkin, who previously contributed to a number of Disney Christmas specials.

There will also be a new arrangement of the holiday classic ‘Jingle Bells’ by Emmy and Annie and Primetime Emmy-nominated composer Tony Morales (Elena of Avalor,Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico).
