IRON FIST Star Jessica Henwick Teases Possible MCU Comeback Despite Missing DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 2

Actress Jessica Henwick has had a nonstop shooting schedule over the last several years in tons of great movies and TV roles, but one character she played almost a decade ago has fans hoping she’ll be planning a comeback.

Henwick played martial artist Colleen Wing in Netflix’s Marvel series, Iron Fist, as well as The Defenders, which teamed up most of the former Netflix-Marvel superheroes that are now free to pop up in the MCU.

Daredevil actor Charlie Cox has made the biggest return in the Disney+ reboot Daredevil: Born Again, which is about to air its second season, ushering Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and the Punisher Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) back to the fold. So when can we expect to see Henwick’s Colleen Wing? Apparently not in season 2.

The actress told THR when asked point blank if she would appear:

“I’m not on Daredevil: Born Again. I did, however, go and hang out on set, and I had a great time. I can say that the new season is going to be incredible. It’s incredible. Seeing Charlie in the suit was so nostalgic and fun.

“He’s just so perfect in that role. What a great guy, what a great show. I’m really excited for the fans. They’re going to be happy. And fans of the Netflix shows will be very happy.”

Charlie Cox told THR in 2022 that he would put in a good word for Henwick, so there’s still a chance of a return in season three. Luke Cage actor Mike Colter has also been clear that he hopes to reprise his role as well. In the meantime, catch up on season 1 now, watch season 2 when it returns on March 24th, and keep an eye out for the (hopeful) future return of these badass characters to this corner of the MCU.
