One of the biggest breakout stars of the year may have her sights set on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After delivering an awesome performance in Obsession alongside Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrettehas quickly become one of Hollywood's rising talents.

With Obsession becoming both a critical and box office success, crossing $400 million worldwide, the actress is already looking ahead to what comes next, and that future could include Marvel Studios.

Speaking with NYLON, Navarrette shared that she'd happily return to the horror genre after Obsession, but when the conversation turned to the possibility of a sequel, she explained why she'd rather see the story evolve in a different direction.

"I think the beautiful thing about it is that there is no sequel," she said. "I think it’d be cool if Curry did the anthology series that he was talking about, where each is a different wish. Then I could watch and not get scared by myself."

When asked if she'd be interested in starring in a Marvel movie, Navarrette didn't hesitate. "I would." She also mentioned that she'd love to tackle an action movie in the vein of Atomic Blonde and is interested in landing a role in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Fourth Wing.

The actress also talked about filmmakers she'd love to collaborate with, including Ryan Coogler, Greta Gerwig, Michael Mann, and Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier. She's already met with both Mann and Schreier.

That immediately catches the attention of Marvel fans because Schreier is also set to direct Marvel Studios' upcoming X-Men reboot. While there's no indication that Navarrette has been cast in anything, it's easy to imagine her fitting into the MCU's next generation of mutants. There are plenty of X-Men characters she could bring to life.

Success has also changed the opportunities coming her way. Navarrette says the impact of Obsession has been immediate, revealing she's "100%" noticed a difference in the kinds of auditions she's receiving.

"But I also find that there’s a difference in the way that I’m approaching them," she noted. "Between Obsession and the film after that, I didn’t work. I was walking dogs. I was streaming. I was doing a lot of these things to make money. I didn’t have a lot of confidence because you just keep hearing no, and that can be debilitating."

Fortunately, that mindset has shifted. "I now have a lot more confidence in the decisions that I’m making, and that’s made the audition process a lot more fun," the actress added.

Whether Navarrette ultimately joins the MCU remains to be seen, but Marvel Studios is always on the lookout for exciting new talent, and she's certainly proven she has the screen presence to carry major projects. If the studio is building the next era of the X-Men, she'd make an intriguing addition to that growing roster.
