Amy Adams Says Joining Ryan Gosling in STAR WARS: STARFIGHTER is a “Dream Come True”

As you know, Amy Adams is set to appear in Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Starfighter alongsideRyan Gosling.

The actress briefly talked about the movie during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where Fallon and when it was brought up that she had been cast in the film. Adams said, “These rumours are true, really. Yeah, that’s about all I can tell you is that I’m in it.”

Her casting was never really a rumor because it one of those casting announcements that was confirmed by Lucasfilm. Fallon tried to dig a little deeper, but Adams kept the details under lock and key, laughing off any attempts to get more information and promising she would come back when she was actually allowed to talk about the movie.

While she couldn't discuss her role, Adams was more than happy to share her excitement about finally becoming part of the Star Wars universe.

The actress described joining the franchise as a “total dream come true,” explaining that she grew up as a huge fan of the iconic space saga.

Her love for Star Wars goes back to childhood, when she collected toys from the franchise, including a Princess Leia doll. In fact, she revealed that she even purchased multiple re-released versions of the collectible over the years to give to friends.

Adams also reflected on why the series has remained so meaningful to her, praising creator George Lucas and the imagination that fueled the franchise from the beginning.

“They’re so creative and, and like inspiring and good versus evil,“ Amy said.

It's easy to understand why landing a role in Star Wars would mean so much to her. Like many fans, Adams grew up captivated by the franchise's sense of adventure, stories, and memorable characters.

The movie is being directed by Shawn Levy, who previously delivered Marvel's massive hit Deadpool & Wolverine.

The film already features an impressive lineup that includes Gosling, Mia Goth, and Matt Smith. Lucasfilm also announced cast members, including Aaron Pierre, Jamael Westman, Flynn Gray, Simon Bird, and Daniel Ings.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, and Lucasfilm hasn't revealed who any of these actors will be playing. That mystery is likely to remain intact for a while longer.
