New AVENGERS: SECRET WARS Rumor Claims to Reveal the Three Main Leads in the Marvel Film

We are less than six months away from the release of Avengers: Doomsday, the first of the two major event films headed our way from Marvel.

The film is undergoing reshoots, and as they close in on how exactly the story will play out, they will be able to firm up the script for its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars. There are still many mysteries within each of the films, but one new rumor claims to reveal the three MCU characters Secret Wars will mainly revolve around.

Industry insider @MyTimeToShineH (via CBM) said in a recent report that Secret Wars will center on Paul Bettany’s character, Vision, and Ruaridh Mollica’s Tommy Maximoff/Speed, as well as Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill/Star-Lord. We know VisionQuest will see the father and son (Vision and Tommy) reunite, and all signs point to their journey continuing in the Multiverse Saga finale.

Leaked concept art for Avengers: Secret Wars showed the White Vision living with Star-Lord, seemingly as roommates. We also saw a piece showing Peter Quill and Wong alongside the MCU's Young Avengers/Champions: Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Stature, Wiccan, and Speed.

So these claims don’t seem too far fetched. But as always, they can’ be taken as confirmation either. Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.
