Aubrey Plaza, Adam Driver, Vanessa Kirby & Matthew Broderick to Star In Drama Feature TOMORROW IS A DRAG

One of the hottest projects hitting the Cannes market this year is the drama feature Tomorrow Is a Drag, the anticipated comeback of Oscar-winning filmmaker Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester By the Sea).

A star-studded ensemble is being assembled, led by Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation, The White Lotus), Academy Award nominees Adam Driver (Star Wars franchise, Marriage Story) and Vanessa Kirby (Mission Impossible franchise, The Fantastic Four, The Crown) and Matthew Broderick (Manchester by the Sea, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).

Tomorrow Is a Drag marks Lonergan’s first directorial film since Manchester by the Sea, which won Casey Affleck an Oscar for best actor and an Oscar for original screenplay, as well as a best director nomination.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, though the title hints at the writer-director’s signature blend of humor, drama, and character study. Sara Murphy, the Oscar-winning producer of Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, is producing under her Fat City outfit. Production is scheduled to begin this fall in New York.
