Nicholas Hoult Takes on the System With a Crew of Viral Bank Robbers in David Leitch’s Trailer For HOW TO ROB A BANK

Nicholas Houltis robbing banks, broadcasting the chaos, and taking a swing at the system in the new trailer for How to Rob a Bank, the latest action thriller from David Leitch.

Amazon MGM Studios has released a new trailer, and this looks like a great film! The story follows a crew of social media-savvy bank robbers who document their heists online while using their crimes to call out corruption. Naturally, turning bank robberies into viral content comes with a few complications.

As their online fame grows, the crew catches the attention of a veteran FBI agent and a gifted software engineer played by andZoë Kravitz, who begin tracking them down. With the authorities closing in, the robbers decide to go even bigger, risking everything on their most ambitious heist.

The official synopsis reads: “Who's robbing who?" In David Leitch's next action-packed movie How to Rob a Bank, a crew of social media-savvy bank robbers broadcasts their daring heists, unaware that their growing viral fame has put them in the crosshairs of a veteran FBI agent and a brilliant software engineer.

“Despite the unlikely duo closing in on the crew, the crime syndicate pushes past their limits, putting everything on the line for their beliefs — and their most ambitious heist yet.

Hoult and Kravitz are joined by Anna Sawai,Rhenzy Feliz, Christian Slater, Pete Davidson, and John C. Reilly, with Reilly playing one of the federal agents hunting the crew.

Leitch certainly knows his way around big, slick action movies. His previous directing credits include Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Once Upon a Deadpool, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy. How to Rob a Bank was written by Mark Bianculli.

The movie comes from MGM, Imagine Entertainment, and 87North Productions, with Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, Allan Mandelbaum, Leitch, and Kelly McCormick producing.

What makes How to Rob a Bank look particularly fun is the way it mixes the heist movie formula with social media culture and a group of young criminals who see themselves as fighting a corrupt system. The trailer sells plenty of slick action and attitude, but that idea could give the movie something more interesting to play with between robberies.

Hopefully, it commits to these characters as the heroes of their own story all the way through. Watching Hoult and the rest of this crew tear into the system while attempting increasingly insane robberies looks like a good time!
