TV favourite Davina McCall delighted fans with an unexpected appearance following her recent brain surgery.

Davina, who underwent surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumour, made Ant and Dec's day as she popped up during their Instagram Live session on Saturday night following I'm A Celebrity.

She beamed into the live feed with a playful comment "Hey everyone! Still here" complete with a laughing emoji, triggering a wave of joy in the studio.

An excited Dec announced to all: "Hey Davina McCall is here everybody," while Ant replied: "Hope you are feeling well, sending you lots of love from the jungle." The team behind the scenes couldn't contain their affection, loudly proclaiming: "We love you Davina."

Despite the warm reception, it seemed the sheer level of enthusiasm might have been just a bit too much for Davina, who humorously shared: "I'm gonna sign off now," reports the Mirror. Ant quipped: "We were too much for her, we were too loud."

Davina's cameo follows positive news given by her partner Michael Douglas about her recovery after the operation.

Previously in intensive post-surgery, the presenter has been making great strides, with Michael sharing on Tuesday: "Mega progress these last 24 hours. Massive relief to see some light breaking through.

"Thanks for all the good vibes coming in from all angles, up and up. Thanks so much to all the wellwishers. She really has made an enormous leap forward in the last 24 hours. She is out of ICU."

This comes after the former Big Brother host disclosed the discovery of a rare colloid cyst found during a medical examination conducted as part of her menopause awareness efforts.

The mother of three revealed that the half-inch-wide tumour, a rare condition affecting just three in every million people, needed to be removed urgently as "if it grows, it would be bad". She shared that her hospital stay would last nine days and that Michael, 49, would keep everyone updated on her progress.

On Friday, Michael reported that the operation had been successful, referring to it as textbook, but noted that Davina was "utterly exhausted". Davina is known for presenting the dating series 'My Mum, Your Dad', serving as a judge on 'The Masked Singer', and hosting television programmes about the menopause.

According to the NHS, non-cancerous brain tumours are more frequently diagnosed in individuals over the age of 50.
