Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan has announced she's expecting her second child, delighting fans with the news. The 33 year old actress, known for her role as Lydia Chambers on the cobbles from 2021 to 2022, and for appearances in Waterloo Road, Casualty, and Shameless, has been married to Dan Acraman since September 2022.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Aurora, in April 2023. Rebecca took to Instagram on Saturday to share a series of snaps showcasing her growing baby bump, captioning the post: "Sleeps overrated anyway, here comes baby No.2" followed by a red heart emoji.

Her announcement was met with an outpouring of love and excitement from followers, family, and fellow stars. Her brother Jack James Ryan, who played Jacob Hay in Coronation Street until 2023, commented: "Can't wait to meet my new best mate."

Model Rhian Sugden expressed her joy with the comment: "Here she issssss!" accompanied by heart-eyed emojis, while another fan added: "Awhhh amazing, congratulations to you all" with red heart emojis, reports the Mirror.

Rebecca and Dan have openly shared their joy about their daughter Aurora on social media, with Rebecca posting adorable photos of her first birthday celebrations last April. Taking to Instagram, she shared: "My darling girl Aurora, where has this year gone?

"The immeasurable joy and love you have brought into my life is something I will be forever thankful for. Your cheeky smile lights up every room, and I just love watching you grow and change every single day. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy 1st birthday my girl."

Rebecca's family is set to grow with the arrival of her second child. This news has intrigued fans as her family already boasts a talented soap actor brother, Jack. When Rebecca joined the cast of the ITV soap, viewers were surprised at the revelation that she and Jack were siblings, with her stepping onto the cobbles just 10 months after he began portraying Jacob.

The casting of Rebecca and Jack as principal characters without initially realising their sibling relationship also caught 'Coronation Street' bosses off guard.

In an interview with The Mirror, Rebecca recounted: "Nobody at 'Coronation Street' had any idea. When I joined, I'd be talking to people and say, 'Oh, yeah, my brother works here'. And they'd go, 'Really, who's your brother? What? Jack! 'It's a dream come true to be working on the show at the same time, but it's a total coincidence."
