EA and Bioware have given us an extended look at a boss battle from the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which launches next month.

There’s also a trailer which focuses on the Mage build.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – previously known as Dragon Age 4 and then as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf – is the long-awaited return of one of BioWare’s most popular RPG series.

The studio has ramped up the reveals and announcements in the last few months, starting with a big gameplay trailer during Summer Game Fest, which showcased the earliest part of the game with our player character, Rook, and series mainstay Varric delving into the very pretty, but seedy city of Minrathous on the hunt for Solas. This also introduced a few other companions, as they raced against time to stop Solas from conducting a ritual that’s breaking the barrier between world, the Veil, which is allowing demons to enter this world.

At the end of July, BioWare then revealed the full cast list of voice actors for all the companions:

  • Rook voiced be Erika Ishii (Apex Legends, Destiny 2), Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1, NCIS), Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3, Good Omens) and Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077, The Amazing World of Gumball).
  • Harding the Dwarven Scout voiced by Ali Hillis (Mass Effect 3, Naruto)
  • Davrin the Grey Warden voiced by Ike Amadi (Mass Effect 3, Halo 5: Guardians, Insomniac’s Spider-Man)
  • Bellara the Veil Jumper voiced by Jee Young Han (Perry Mason, Unprisoned)
  • Neve the Shadow Dragons rebel voiced by Jessica Clark (True Blood, Pocket Listing)
  • Taash the Dragon Hunter voiced by Jin Maley (Star Trek: Picard, Silicon Valley)
  • Emmrich the Necromancer voiced by Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Sails)
  • Manfred, Emmrich’s skeletal assistant, voiced by Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Fallout 4).
  • Lucanis the Assassin voiced by Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West, Married Alive)

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on 31st October.
