Invariant is a Antarctica based horror coming from a former Serious Sam dev
by Aran Suddi · tsaFormer Croteam team member Josip Makjanić has founded Faros Game Studio, and the first project that is being worked on is a first person horror called Invariant. As you’ll see from the trailer the game has been influenced by The Thing, Half Life, and F.E.A.R. So if you’re a fan of any of those this may be worth keeping an eye on.
Invariant is set in a remote Antarctic research facility which gets cut off from the outside world. With the facility cut off from any help things quickly start to deteriorate. Communications systems fail, the researchers look like they turn on each other, and dangerous creatures stalk the corridors of the facility, posing a fatal danger to anyone that crosses them. As one of the people trapped, you will need to find ways to survive, solve puzzles, and figure out the central mystery that has caused this sudden collapse into horror. Josip Makjanić has released a nearly 20 minutes dev diary going over the origins of the Invariant project, which you can watch below.
A release date is yet to be set for Invariant.
